Measures to Support Accessibility
Mainstay is committed to taking the following measures to ensure accessibility of the Mainstay Engagement Platform:
Include accessibility standards throughout our internal policies
Integrate accessibility into our procurement practices
Actively work to include accessibility considerations as part of ongoing product development
Designate a point person on the Mainstay product team to oversee a11y efforts
Provide continual accessibility training for our staff
Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities
Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
The Mainstay webchat component is conformant with WCAG 2.1 (AA) meaning all identified issues have been addressed (new audit pending). The Mainstay Engagement Platform is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 (AA). Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility level we aspire to reach.
Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we have identified gaps in conformance and are currently working to address them — beginning with blocking and critical issues. For more information, please review our most recent evaluation statement. Please note that we are actively addressing these issues and some or all may have already been resolved.
