I’m proud to announce that as of today, AdmitHub is officially Mainstay! This marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for our company, and I’m so excited to introduce you to our new brand and share the story behind this evolution. 

How it all began  

In 2014, Kirk Daulerio and I came together with a shared vision of making college access more equitable through technology. It started with a simple question: What if learners could text message their way through the administrative tasks that stand between them and a successful college experience? 

Hundreds of people told us it could never work. 

… But, what if it could? 

That core idea sparked a passion we knew we had to pursue. We created AdmitHub with a mission to support students on their paths to college and beyond. In the process, we developed the first mobile, AI-powered messaging platform developed specifically for higher education.

We started out providing personalized chat solutions for the college enrollment process. In the years since, AdmitHub grew into a full-scale student engagement platform — supporting millions of students with timely, empathetic guidance for their higher education journey.

Becoming Mainstay 

In the summer of 2020, we finalized a $16 million series B funding round, which included previous investments from Salesforce Ventures and the Google Assistant Investments program. This vital step in the advancement of our company accelerated our growth and enabled us to take our mission, vision, and technology to the next level. 

In becoming Mainstay, we’re doubling down on the commitment our company made when Kirk and I first teamed up more than 7 years ago: To help people continually take the next step toward a more fulfilling life. 

Today, we’re supporting people along their journeys through college and beyond. As part of our continued evolution, our proven Engagement Platform now offers meaningful guidance to lifelong learners as they enter the workforce and navigate their careers, as well.
