Katie Condon is a seasoned higher education professional with over 21 years of experience in recruitment, strategic enrollment management, and higher education systems. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Affairs at the University of West Florida (UWF), Katie oversees critical departments, including University Admissions, Financial Aid, Transfer Articulation, Enrollment Marketing and Communications, and Enrollment Operations. She leads the university in developing and executing UWF’s Strategic Enrollment Plan, collaborating closely with departments across campus and senior leadership to ensure alignment with the university’s mission and objectives.

Katie’s expertise spans across the full spectrum of enrollment and recruitment processes. Under her leadership, UWF’s overall enrollment increased by 10% and new first-year enrollment by 31% over the span of three years (2021-2024), all while maintaining academic quality and managing tight budgets. She has managed numerous system implementations, including the 2020 Slate CRM and AI-powered chatbots to enhance student engagement and operational efficiency. Katie’s collaborative, cross-divisional, and data-driven approach has been instrumental in improving Florida’s Performance-Based Metrics, such as four-year graduation rates and retention for students with a 2.0+ GPA and achieving record enrollment at UWF.

Katie holds a Master’s in College Student Development from Appalachian State University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Alabama. She is committed to fostering student success and ensuring that enrollment processes contribute to the long-term growth of the university.

Dr. Patrice Moorer

Academic Affairs

Dr. Patrice Moorer serves as the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of West Florida, where she leads university-wide strategies to improve student success, retention, and timely graduation. Under her leadership, UWF has seen historic, year-over-year increases in graduation outcomes. For the first time in university history, the four-year graduation rate surpassed 50%, climbing from 48.1% to 53.7% in just one year. Similarly, the three-year graduation rate for transfer students rose dramatically, increasing from 52.3% to 62.2%. These results reflect the measurable impact of the Strategic Graduation Plan she spearheaded in direct response to Performance-Based Funding (PBF) Graduation Metric Outcomes.

These historic gains reflect Dr. Moorer’s ability to combine strategic vision with innovation. She has successfully implemented or enhanced student success technologies—from predictive analytics to AI-powered engagement tools—that proactively identify barriers, streamline processes, and improve student persistence. By aligning technology integration with evidence-based practices, Dr. Moorer has transformed institutional performance metrics and expanded the capacity to deliver proactive, personalized student support.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Dr. Moorer brings discipline, service, and compassion to her leadership. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Southern New Hampshire University, a master’s in counseling from Mercer University, and a doctorate in education from the University of West Florida. Her research explores the intersection of identity, resilience, and STEM retention among undergraduate students. Dr. Moorer is widely recognized for her collaborative approach, strategic vision, and passion for helping students thrive from enrollment through graduation and beyond.
